The US Dept of State Foreign Service Institute has classified languages to fall under 4 categories based on its level of difficulty. Romanian, like Spanish, falls under Category 1. Meaning, it is one of the “easiest” languages for speakers of English, requiring 600-750 hours of classwork for minimal proficiency. Those under category 3 and 4 like Arabic and Korean are considered difficult and requiring above 2000 hours of study. How are you, Niña?
